Daniel Paul Johns(or Johnsie , his nickname), star sign Taurus, was born Sunday 22nd of April 1979 and is the eldest of his family. He has a younger brother named Heath and a younger sister Chelsea, his mothers name is Julie and fathers name is Greg.
Daniel suffers from asthma and in his younger years he used to wear braces. He owns 24 guitars and used to own a Ford Fairmont but now he has a XP 1966 Ford. He says if he wasn't in Silverchair he would be a professional Rugby player. Daniels favourite subject at school was English, his favourite movie is Pulp Fiction and he enjoys watching talkshows such as Ricki Lake and watching soap operahs like Neighbours.

Daniel is the lead singer and also plays the guitar in a band with Ben Gillies(left) he plays the drums and Chris Joannou(center) who plays the bass, they are called SILVERCHAIR. They have released 3 albums, Frogstomp, Freakshow and the latest Neon Ballroom.
